A mountaineer, trail runner, and founder of the Utalaya Foundation, Uta is a UN SDG Champion and certified mountain guide. She made history as the first Kosovar-Albanian woman to summit Mount Everest. Currently on the “Utalaya 14×8000” expedition, Uta aims to summit all 14 of the world’s highest peaks, having already climbed 13. A passionate nature lover and advocate, she is committed to preserving the environment.
A certified UIMLA guide and ski guide, Metodi is co-founder and CEO of Shar Outdoors. He is a passionate mountaineer and trail runner with extensive experience as a UIMLA-certified mountain leader. In addition to guiding, Metodi is part of the instructor team specializing in winter tours and avalanche safety.
A passionate mountaineer, Fahmi has been a dedicated member of the SH.B. “SHARRI” Mountaineering Society since 2013. As a member of the management board and planning committee since 2015, he has organized successful mountaineering events and discovered new climbing routes. Last year, Fahmi played a key role in marking the course and managing logistics for the race. We are excited to have him back on board this year to continue his invaluable contributions.
A passionate mountaineer and trail runner, Igor is a Doctor of Stomatology by profession, but his true vocation lies in filmmaking and trail running, a passion he has pursued since 2014. He is also the current president of the renowned TREX Association for outdoor events. In addition to his leadership role, Igor contributes to the High Scardus Ultra by assisting with the logistical planning and coordination of the race.
A passionate mountaineer and trail runner, Trajce is the former president of TREX, an organization focused on trail running, climbing, expeditions, and other adrenaline-fueled outdoor activities. He is also a member of the Makpetrol Mountaineering Club. In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Trajce works as a software architect at Makpetrol A.D. in Skopje, North Macedonia. He is an active member of the High Scardus Ultra team, where he plays a key role in mapping and trail development.
Vigan is an experienced Project Manager and Designer with a strong background in marketing and advertising. An avid ultra trail runner, he has participated in numerous regional ultra trail races and has been a dedicated promoter of the sport. Vigan works with the High Scardus Ultra team, contributing his expertise in design and communications to help shape the event’s visual identity & ensure effective communication throughout the race.
Tuba is an integral member of both the Utalaya Foundation and the High Scardus Ultra team. She handles various aspects of the race but primarily focuses on media and online communications, ensuring the event’s message reaches a wide audience. This year, she will also be taking on the responsibility of managing the volunteers, trainings and all other aspects.
Hana, a mountaineer from Prizren, has been with us since the very first year of our race. She brings unmatched energy and positivity wherever she goes, truly one of a kind. This year, she will be joining our core team, taking charge of PR and media, as well as overseeing the opening and closing ceremonies of the event.
Arber initially designed the logo for the High Scardus Ultra and created the designs for the first few years. Since then, he has continued to support the team by maintaining and improving the website, ensuring the race continues to have a strong and polished online presence.
