Meet the High Scardus Ultra Team

Experienced mountaineers, trail-runners, guides, and community organizers—our team knows these mountains inside and out. Passionate about nature and adventure, we are committed to delivering a challenging, well-organized race while promoting and preserving the stunning High Scardus region. Their goal is to share their love for the mountains and bring people together through the spirit of trail running.

Uta Ibrahimi, Race Co-Director

Uta Ibrahimi is UIMLA and UIAA certified guide and the first Albanian woman to summit Mount Everest and to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters. Through the Utalaya Foundation, she also promotes environmental protection, youth empowerment, and greater participation of girls and women in outdoor activities, inspiring a new generation across Kosovo and beyond.

Metodi Chilimanov, Race Co-Director

A certified UIMLA guide and ski guide, Metodi is co-founder and CEO of Shar Outdoors. He is a passionate mountaineer and trail runner with extensive experience as a UIMLA-certified mountain leader. In addition to guiding, Metodi is part of the instructor team specializing in winter tours and avalanche safety.

Igor Jovanovski, Logistics

A passionate mountaineer and trail runner, Igor is a Doctor of Stomatology by profession, but his true vocation lies in filmmaking and trail running, a passion he has pursued since 2014. He is also the current president of the renowned TREX Association for outdoor events. In addition to his leadership role, Igor contributes to the High Scardus Ultra by assisting with the logistical planning and coordination of the race.

Vigan Hoxha, Runner hospitality

Vigan Hoxha is a communications professional with a passion for storytelling, branding, and community-driven initiatives. He is a fellow trail runner and actively participates in the local trail-running scene, helping position Kosovo and the region on broader international platforms.

Arrita Namlexhiu, Outreach

A designer with a background in interior design, recognized for her ability to seamlessly blend creativity with clarity, structure, and organization. Since childhood, her love for nature and the mountains—along with her dream of becoming an alpinist—has been an integral part of her journey, deeply shaping the way she approaches space, movement, and human experience. She also contributes with dedication to the planning and coordination of logistical processes, the organization of activities
