Starting point in Popova Shapka from Hotel Scardus, our trail takes us immediately through the high part of the villa zone, before it exits on a joyful single trail passing the area of Shipkovica sheepfolds.
After some cheerful ups and downs on a single trail and pastures, we touch shortly an 4×4 road, before exiting on an amazing single trail called Vrganj trail. Passing deep pine forest, the trail offers us an light ascending and descending parts, simply made for racing. We touch the great viewpoint toward Jelak Black peak, and then rush towards the peak. An slightly exposed ridge trail takes us to this great peak, and then down toward the other ridge.
We exit on a 4×4 road back to the viewpoint, and then off toward Jelak mountain hut. Another single trail exit and we are back to the area of Popova Shapka. Immediately when we see our hotel, we can rush down to the end point.
